Raid: Shadow Legends Grim Forest

The Grim Forest of the game: a fogged map of four zones that changes every 30-day cycle, two modes, and Leshun the Entangled One waiting behind three Grim Crowns. Where the battles stand on the map changes every cycle — so here is everything that stays the same: how many champions each zone draws for a battle and how strong its enemies are, Leshun and the four roaming bosses with stats, skills and the game's own strategy, the Mimics and Phrygius the Trovemaster, what each victory gives, the map chests, the Vendor, the Altars, all 18 Curios and every Trait Card. Pick a mode, then a boss.

  • EXPLORE AN UNCHARTED LANDThis gloomy forest hides untold mysteries. Delve into the fog and reveal its hidden secrets.
  • BATTLE NEW BOSSESDeadly new threats lurk within, complete with unique combat mechanics. Can you conquer them all?
  • EXCITING CHALLENGESSome of Raid's most difficult challenges await within the Grim Forest, along with incredible rewards. Show us your skills!

How It Works

Blanketed by a mysterious fog, the Grim Forest is a terrifying place. Powerful magic changes the forest's structure over time, changing the path each time you enter. Let's find out more!

During your time in the Grim Forest, you can only use a limited number of Champions. First up, you'll need to choose the Champions you want to explore the Grim Forest alongside.

You'll need two Team Decks to form your overall Squad. Only Champions in the Squad can be used within the Grim Forest. Choose wisely - you can only make changes to your Squad using a special resource.

The darkness of the forest hides its true threat - Leshun the Entangled One. Traverse the gloom, defeat the lumbering lord, and free these lands. You'll need to find 3 Grim Crowns to take on Leshun and defeat it.

For each battle in the Grim Forest, you'll receive a random number of Champions from each of your Decks. Distribute your most powerful Champions across each Deck carefully.

When entering a battle, you'll receive random Champions from your Team Decks. For different battles, you'll receive a different number of Champions to choose from. Let's find out which Champions you'll get for this battle.

The Grim Forest hides much treasure along its winding paths. But beware - enemies will ambush you to try and stop you!

Boss skills

  • Fume Cleaver

    Attacks all enemies 2 times.

Each hit has a 50% chance of instantly activating a HP Burn debuff. Each hit has a 50% chance of decreasing the cooldown of the Slash and Burn skill by 1 turn instead, if a target is not under a HP Burn debuff.

  • Slash and Burn Cooldown: 4 turns

Attacks all enemies. Places a HP Burn debuff for 3 turns and a Block Active Skills debuff for 2 turns.

  • Inferno Incarnate Cooldown: 3 turns

Places a Counterattack buff on Tauraze the Bestial Flame for 2 turns.

Also places a Shield buff on Tauraze the Bestial Flame for 2 turns. The value of the Shield is equal to 30% of Tauraze's MAX HP. This buff cannot be removed.

  • Wildfire Soul [P]

Whenever Tauraze the Bestial Flame is attacked by an enemy under HP Burn, extends the duration of that HP Burn debuff by 1 turn per hit received.

Fills Tauraze the Bestial Flame's Turn Meter by 20% per hit received whenever he is attacked by an enemy without a HP Burn debuff. Will not fill Tauraze's Turn Meter if he is also under a Freeze debuff.

  • Vital Spark [P]

Tauraze the Bestial Flame and his allies are immune to HP Burn debuffs.

Enemies under HP Burn debuffs will receive 100% more damage from HP Burn debuffs. Heals all allies by 2% of their MAX HP for each instance of damage dealt by a HP Burn debuff.

  • Tainted Immunity [P]

Immune to Stun, Sleep, Provoke, Block Active Skills, Block Passive Skills, Fear, True Fear, Petrification, Berserk, Enfeeble, Nullify, Ensnare, Fatigue, and Hunter's Gaze debuffs. Also immune to HP exchange effects, HP balancing effects, Turn Meter decreasing effects, and cooldown increasing effects.

  • Awakened Weakness [P]

Decreases the damage inflicted by the Boss for each Awakening Level on the target Champion (2.5% for Levels 1-2 and 5% for Levels 3-6, stacks up to 25%).

Increases the damage received by the Boss for each Awakening Level on the attacking Champion (5% for Levels 1-2 and 10% for Levels 3-6, stacks up to 50%).

  • Almighty Strength [P]

Damage from skills that scale based on enemy MAX HP cannot exceed 5% of the Boss' MAX HP when attacking the Boss.

  • Unfaltering Speed [P]

Immune to Decrease SPD debuffs and Turn Meter reduction effects.

Strategy

How It Works

  1. Quelling Tauraze the Bestial Flame means controlling and avoiding HP Burn debuffs, whether that's by placing Block Debuffs buffs on your team, or Heal Reduction and Freeze debuffs on Tauraze.

  2. Tauraze's first skill, Fume Cleaver, attacks your whole team twice and has a 50% chance to instantly activate any HP Burn debuffs on each hit. Make sure you don't have any HP Burn debuffs there for Tauraze to extend by bringing Champions who can remove debuffs or place Block Debuffs buffs.

  3. Setting up HP Burn debuffs is the name of the game for Tauraze's second skill, Slash and Burn. He'll attack your whole team again, and place HP Burn debuffs on each enemy for 3 turns, as well as a Block Active Skills debuff for 2 turns for good measure. Having your Block Debuffs buffs already up and running before this skill comes in is the perfect counter.

  4. Although not an attack, Tauraze's third skill has the potential to wreak havoc on your team. Inferno Incarnate will see Tauraze place a Counterattack buff and a protected Shield buff on himself for 2 turns. If you're not careful and don't manage any HP Burn debuffs on your team, Tauraze will be extending those HP Burn debuffs or constantly decreasing the cooldown of his Slash and Burn skill. Keeping Tauraze under Block Buffs is critical to your survival.

  5. Don't ignore Tauraze's passive skills either - his first one is Wildfire Soul [P] and with it, Tauraze will extend the duration of any HP Burn debuffs on an attacker for each hit he receives. Getting around it isn't that easy though - for each hit Tauraze receives from an enemy without a HP Burn debuff, he'll fill his own Turn Meter by 20%. The trick is to make sure Tauraze is under a Freeze debuff, as his Turn Meter won't fill if that's the case.

  6. Last but not least is Vital Spark [P] skill. With it, Tauraze will make sure himself and his allies are immune to HP Burn debuffs, as well as ensure that enemies under HP Burn debuffs receive 100% more damage from each activation. As if that were bad enough, this skill also heals Tauraze and his allies by 2% of their MAX HP each time a HP Burn debuff is activated. Heal Reduction debuffs are a must-have if you can't prevent Tauraze from placing HP Burn debuffs on your team.

  7. Here's some key points to bear in mind. Keep Tauraze under Block Buffs debuffs to prevent him from getting his Shield and Counterattack buffs, and place Freeze on Tauraze to counter his Turn Meter fill effects. Bring Champions that can place Poison debuffs to corrode Tauraze's HP away, and remember to deck out your team with Champions that can remove debuffs or place Block Debuffs.
