Raid: Shadow Legends Grim Forest

The Grim Forest of the game: a fogged map of four zones that changes every 30-day cycle, two modes, and Leshun the Entangled One waiting behind three Grim Crowns. Where the battles stand on the map changes every cycle — so here is everything that stays the same: how many champions each zone draws for a battle and how strong its enemies are, Leshun and the four roaming bosses with stats, skills and the game's own strategy, the Mimics and Phrygius the Trovemaster, what each victory gives, the map chests, the Vendor, the Altars, all 18 Curios and every Trait Card. Pick a mode, then a boss.

How It Works

Blanketed by a mysterious fog, the Grim Forest is a terrifying place. Powerful magic changes the forest's structure over time, changing the path each time you enter. Let's find out more!

During your time in the Grim Forest, you can only use a limited number of Champions. First up, you'll need to choose the Champions you want to explore the Grim Forest alongside.

You'll need two Team Decks to form your overall Squad. Only Champions in the Squad can be used within the Grim Forest. Choose wisely - you can only make changes to your Squad using a special resource.

The darkness of the forest hides its true threat - Leshun the Entangled One. Traverse the gloom, defeat the lumbering lord, and free these lands. You'll need to find 3 Grim Crowns to take on Leshun and defeat it.

For each battle in the Grim Forest, you'll receive a random number of Champions from each of your Decks. Distribute your most powerful Champions across each Deck carefully.

When entering a battle, you'll receive random Champions from your Team Decks. For different battles, you'll receive a different number of Champions to choose from. Let's find out which Champions you'll get for this battle.

The Grim Forest hides much treasure along its winding paths. But beware - enemies will ambush you to try and stop you!

Boss skills

  • Mine! Mine! Mine!

Attacks all enemies. Has a 50% chance of stealing 1 random buff from each enemy.

  • Can't Catch Me! Cooldown: 3 turns

Attacks all enemies. Places a 30% Decrease SPD debuff and a 50% Decrease ATK debuff on all enemies for 2 turns.

Steals 30% of each target's Turn Meter. This effect cannot be resisted by targets under any buffs.

The damage inflicted by this skill is increased by 10% for each Goldplated layer.

  • Hardened Avarice Cooldown: 5 turns

Places 5 layers of Goldplated on Phrygius the Trovemaster. Each layer is equal to 10% of Phrygius' MAX HP. Whenever a layer is destroyed, deals damage to Phrygius equal to the value of the Goldplated layer. Also deals damage to Phrygius' enemies equal to 5% of the Goldplated layer value.

Fills Phrygius' Turn Meter by 10% each time a Goldplated layer is destroyed. While under Goldplated layers, Phrygius cannot Evade.

  • 24-Karat Thief [P]

Has a 10% chance of Evading an enemy skill and all of its accompanying effects. Increases Phrygius' SPD by 5, and chance to Evade by 2% each turn he is under at least one Goldplated layer (stacks up to +200 SPD & 50% Evade chance).

  • Almighty Immunity [P]

Immune to Stun, Freeze, Sleep, Provoke, Block Active Skills, Block Passive Skills, Fear, True Fear, Petrification, Berserk, Enfeeble, Nullify, Ensnare, Fatigue, and Hunter's Gaze debuffs. Also immune to HP exchange effects, HP balancing effects, and cooldown increasing effects.

  • Awakened Weakness [P]

Decreases the damage inflicted by the Boss for each Awakening Level on the target Champion (2.5% for Levels 1-2 and 5% for Levels 3-6, stacks up to 25%).

Increases the damage received by the Boss for each Awakening Level on the attacking Champion (5% for Levels 1-2 and 10% for Levels 3-6, stacks up to 50%).

  • Almighty Strength [P]

Damage from skills that scale based on enemy MAX HP cannot exceed 5% of the Boss' MAX HP when attacking the Boss.

  • Unfaltering Speed [P]

Immune to Decrease SPD debuffs and Turn Meter reduction effects.

  • Flameproof [P]

Damage from HP Burn debuffs cannot exceed 1% of the Boss' MAX HP.

Strategy

How It Works

  1. The goal of battling Phrygius the Trovemaster is about dealing as much damage as you possibly can to this gold-obsessed goblin, so you can earn rewards based on the damage dealt.

  2. Phrygius' first skill is Mine! Mine! Mine! and like any good obsessive treasure hoarder, he's on the lookout for more! He'll attack your whole team and steal a random buff from each Champion. Make sure your buffs are protected, or simply leave them at home before Phrygius attacks.

  3. Can't Catch Me! is Phrygius' second skill, where he'll both attack your team and place Decrease ATK & Decrease SPD debuffs. He'll also steal 30% of each target's Turn Meter, an effect that can't be resisted if a target is under any buffs. Phrygius will also increase this skill's attack damage depending on how many Goldplated layers he currently has on him. To survive the hit and avoid the debuffs, bring Champions with Block Debuffs buffs in their kit. Just be mindful that you'll lose 30% of your Turn Meter.

  4. Next up is Phrygius' signature third skill - Hardened Avarice - where he'll place 5 layers of the Goldplated effect on himself. Each Goldplated layer is worth 10% of Phrygius' HP, and it'll absorb any damage you deal. When a layer is destroyed, Phrygius's Turn Meter will be filled by 10% but he'll also receive damage equal to the layer's value. Your Champions, meanwhile, will receive damage equal to 5% of the layer's value. All this protection comes at a cost for Phrygius though - while he's under Goldplated layers, he won't be able to Evade any of your team's skills or effects. Dealing with Goldplated layers means maximizing your damage output while keeping your team suitably protected - Shield, Block Damage and Unkillable buffs will come in handy.

  5. Phrygius' passive skill is 24-Karat Thief [P]. It'll grant Phrygius a slim chance at Evading incoming attacks, and this chance increases with each turn that Phrygius has active Goldplated layers, along with his Speed. To prevent this, destroy the Goldplated layers as quickly as you can.

  6. Successfully controlling the fight against Phrygius means finding the balance between attacking him when he's under Goldplated layers and when he's not. Phrygius can't Evade while he's under Goldplated layers and he takes damage from those Goldplated layers once they're destroyed, so maximize your damage focus there. However, watch your team's HP and survivability from Phrygius' attacks that get increasingly powerful when he's under Goldplated layers. Without Goldplated, Phrygius is less threatening but can Evade your attacks. He's also immune to Turn Meter reduction and Decrease SPD debuffs, so getting rid of his Goldplated layers to prevent him gaining more Speed is a must.
